Love, Harsheeta 💌

By now, I think it’s safe to say that you and I, dear readers, have gotten pretty close. We’ve laughed, reflected, and shared so much together, and it feels like the right time to let you in on something even more personal.

So here goes—today, I’m sharing my very first love letter with you! Yep, you heard that right. A real, honest-to-goodness love letter. And trust me, this one is even more personal than anything else I’ve shared before.

And who’s this love letter for? Well, none other than—drumroll, please—my amazing, beautiful family! Because love letters aren’t just for partners, they’re for anyone and everyone you love with all your heart.

Hold your horses, because here it goes!

Dear Family,

Hope this ‘E-letter’ finds you in the best of health (which I’m pretty sure it does, since, well, I live with you guys!). However, I still wanted to write this because sometimes spoken words get lost in the noise of daily life, but written words—ah, they stay forever.

First things first, thank you. For the love, the laughter, the endless support, and even the little arguments that remind me how deeply we care about each other. Every smile at the dinner table, every inside joke, every euphoria moment when we play Wordle—those are the threads that weave the fabric of our family.

You’ve taught me what unconditional love truly looks like, not in grand gestures but in the small, everyday acts—sharing the dreams we saw at the breakfast table, checking in when I look tired, or simply sitting together in comfortable silence.

This love letter is my way of saying that I see all of it. I feel all of it. And I cherish it more than I can ever put into words.

Mumma, you are the heart of this family. Your love is in every meal, every hug, every word of advice (even the ones I pretend not to hear at first). Thank you for being my biggest cheerleader and my softest landing place. You’re the definition of unconditional love. Thank you for never giving up on me and for always loving me even after I mess up. You are my role model, my teacher, and my forever friend.

Papa, you’re the quiet strength behind us all. Thank you for teaching me resilience, patience, and the value of hard work—lessons that I hope stay with me forever. Your jokes (yes, even the not-so-funny ones) and your steady presence mean more than I can say. I hope one day I can be even half as strong, wise, and selfless as you are. You’ve set the bar high, and I couldn’t be prouder to call you my father.

And last but certainly not the least, to my partner-in-crime Ishu—thank you for filling our home with laughter (and a little mischief). From stealing my stuff without asking (yes, I notice) to roasting me at the worst possible times—you somehow manage to annoy me and make me laugh at the same time. But here’s the thing: behind all our silly fights and teasing, you’re actually one of my favorite people in the world (don’t let this go to your head). You remind me how to stay young, carefree, and a little rebellious. And no matter how much we argue or drive each other crazy, I’ll always have your back.

At the end of the day, this letter is just a small attempt to capture something that’s honestly too big for words—the love I feel for all of you. Mumma, Papa, and Ishu, you’re not just my family—you’re my world, my anchor, and my biggest blessing.

No matter where life takes me or how much time passes, I’ll always carry you in my heart. This love letter may end here, but the story of our family’s love is one I’ll keep writing every single day, in the way I live, in the choices I make, and in the person I become.

With all my love,
Harshu.
